Information about funders

Brighton and Hove City Council provides lots of information on grant programmes it runs and those available elsewhere.

The Resource Centre Favourite Funders directory provides basic details of selected funders that have proved useful to local community groups in Brighton & Hove. These sheets are also available in a reference file at the Resource Centre or on their website.

We also have two Information Sheets with information about funders.

  • Fundraising from local businesses gives advice and a list of local businesses that may be useful if you want to raise a small amount of money or raffle prizes for Christmas Parties, Fun Days, outings, or other small projects.
  • Fundraising from Local Trusts gives advice and a list of Grant Making Trusts that give grants to groups in Sussex.

You can access the subscription trustfunding.org website in the centre which is a searchable database of thousands of trustfunds. Contact us to book a time.

Our website has links to useful fundraising websites with information about sources of funding plus how to fundraise effectively.

Our library has a wide range of books on both sources of funding and all other aspects of fundraising.
