Charitable Status

The Resource Centre information sheet on Charity Registration aims to give some guidance as to whether your group should register as a charity. It is intended mainly for smaller community groups although the information is equally relevant to larger organisations in the voluntary sector.

They also have an information sheet on The Responsibilities of Registered Charities which is intended as a quick and easy summary of the responsibilities of relatively small registered Charities. It is aimed at registered Charities who have an income below £100,000 and are not Limited Companies or Charitable Trusts.

More information, registration forms and model governing documents are available on the Charity Commission website.
