The role of the treasurer, bank accounts and accounting
The Resource Centre have an information sheet on The Treasurer's Job which
covers the role of the Teasurer and the Committee, basic rules for
dealing with money,rReports to the committee and AGM and Independent
Examination of Accounts.
They also have information sheets on Bank Accounts and Charity Reports and Accounts.
They also offer additional support services to
- Brighton & Hove Council tenants' associations
- Groups based in areas of social housing and run by local
people - Groups based in minority ethnic communities
- Groups run by disabled people
This includes one-to-one tailored training and advice sessions,
covering topics such as computer skills; keeping accounts;developing a
fundraising strategy;drawing up a constitution; and any other aspect
of running your group.
