- cDo you have a committee with a minimum of three officers?
A group or organisation needs a committee (for example Chair, Treasurer and Secretary). Its role is to manage activities and help the organisations realise its aims.

- dDo you have necessary policies and procedures for your group?Many funding organisations require that you have policies and procedures in place (e.g. equal opportunities policy and dealing with vulnerable adults)To doContinue to next issue
You may still be able to find sources of funding but this will be limited restricted to a few trust funds.

- If your group or organisation has been running for more than a year it is likely you will need these before you submit a funding application.
- If you are a new group, most funders will accept your application without accounts, as long as you have a bank account and a system in place for keeping track of your money.
- You may be able to do these yourself, with training, or be eligible for one-to-one support or an independent examination of accounts. Our Managing Money section has more information.
