Grants available to voluntary and community groups whose work improves the quality of life for people in East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton and Hove.
The Foundation manages three funds and matches applications with the most appropriate source of funding.
Marit and Hans Rausing Fund:
examples of areas of support include: education; social welfare; religious causes; and children and young people.
American Express Fund:
examples of areas of support include: arts and cultural heritage; economic independence; and developing new leaders for tomorrow.
Cullum Family Trust at Sussex Community Foundation:
examples of areas of support include: homelessness; animal charities; and older people.
The majority of grants awarded are between £1,000 and £5,000; however, in exceptional circumstances larger grant applications may be considered.
Voluntary and community groups must be not for profit and have a constitution or set of rules. The Foundation favours applications from smaller, locally managed organisations.
