Young Runaways Action Plan Launched

The Government has launched the Young Runaways Action Plan, which sets out how Government, the voluntary sector and local agencies should work together to provide young runaways in England with the help they need. The Plan fulfils the commitments in the Children?s Plan and the Staying Safe Action Plan to improve services for young runaways. Youth Opportunity Fund & Youth Capital Fund

This is a new national initiative, for Local Authorities to further youth activity for young people in the 13-19 age range [13-25 special needs]. Young people are at the core of this grant allocation. They must come up with the ideas and complete the application form. Youth Panels will distribute and monitor these funds.Closing date 4th December 2006
