Implementing Organisational Equalities Grants - Brighton & Hove City Council

These are annual awards of up to ?1,500 for community and voluntary organisations either to develop or improve internal working patterns that address equalities issues, or to deliver activities which improve equalities within other voluntary or community organisations in the city. Grants will support voluntary organisations to promote equal opportunities and celebrate diversity by supporting compliance with current legislation including: the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, the Race Relations Act 1976 and the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000. Innovation and Good Practice Programme Launched

The Programme's purpose is to encourage the development and testing of new ideas and proposals, and to generate and promote good practice in the delivery of housing services within the housing association sector. Applications are invited from projects comprising of the following themes:Tackling worklessness. Promoting community cohesion. Tackling climate change in existing stock. Efficiency in housing management. Transforming estates. Expressions of interest should be submitted by 19 November 2007 and bidders that closely match the criteria will be invited to provide full applications by 29 February 2008.

Innovation Exchange and Nesta

Government offers grants for forward-thinking charitiesCharities that run innovative projects could be in line for ?50,000 grants. The Innovation Exchange, which was set up by the Government to encourage the spread of innovative ideas in the voluntary sector, has opened its Next Practice programme for applications. The programme offers in-kind support to help successful applicants develop, evaluate and expand their work.

Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales

Everybody Counts Awards
Prizes of ?2,000 to chartered accountants for the charity or community project with which they do voluntary work.Deadline for bids is 27th April 2007 The ICAEW also offer help to voluntary and community organisations to find chartered accountants who are looking for voluntary opportunties

International Polartec Challenge

This is an international scheme that supports the spirit and practice of outdoor adventure. It assists frugal, low impact expedition/adventure teams that respect the local culture and environment and serve as role models to outdoor enthusiasts worldwide. Awards are financial and/or product and can range from $2,000-$8,000 (approximately ?1,000-?4,000).The Challenge supports diverse, self-propelled expeditions and journeys to remote locations of the world. Applications are evaluated on the basis of their vision, commitment and credibility. Prior winners have explored mountains, forests, caves, rivers, oceans and deserts around the globe in many different ways. The final date for applications is 15 September 2008. Winners will be announced on 1 December 2008.

Irish Youth Foundation

The next deadline for applications is 30 November. The scheme accepts applications (up to ?25,000) from voluntary organisations for project work with young Irish people (up to 25 years) and particularly those that are disadvantaged and in need. The Idlewild Trust

A Grant Making Trust supporting registered charities (not individuals) concerned with the encouragement of excellence in the performing and fine arts and the preservation for the benefit of the public of buildings and items of historical interest or national importance.Occasional support is given for conservation of the natural environment CLOSING DATES FOR 2007 16 March and 28 September

The Institute of Sports Sponsorship

Sportsmatch
A government funded scheme to help fund grass roots and community sports in England, by matching new sponsorship money with Sportsmatch funding. Minimum awards are ?1,000 (?500 for schools) and ?50,000.
