The Westminster Foundation

Established in 1974 for general charitable purposes by the fifth Duke of Westminster, it main areas of interest are: churches, youth, conservation, education, medical, arts and social welfare.Applicants must be registered charities. The foundation makes over 100 grants a year, most of its money is spent: social welfare, educational causes and conservation. A new category ?commemorative? has recently been adopted. Grants range from ?300-?5,000, but can go up to ?60,000. About half of the beneficiaries have been supported in previous years. Applications should be submitted in writing to the secretary, enclosing an up-to-date set of accounts, together with a brief history of the project to date and the current need.
