v, the charity for youth volunteering has announced details of the 2008 Match Fund Programme. The programme brings together private sector partners and charities to create innovative volunteering opportunities. It offers match funded grants to registered charities, social enterprises, companies limited by guarantee, and community interest companies (all with charitable aims) based in England.Grants that match up to 100% of any new private sector investment for youth volunteering projects in England are available. v has up to ?15 million available to match against up to ?15 million of private sector funding, which equates to an investment of ?30 million in the voluntary sector for youth volunteering. Applicants must secure half of the funds required for the project form a private sector funder, which v will then match fund. There are two deadlines for receipt of applications: ? Round 1 - 5 pm on Friday 29 August 2008 for projects starting in January 2009. ? Round 2 - 5 pm on Friday 31 October 2008 for projects starting in March 2009.
