Viridor Credits - Cash for Communities

Over the years, Viridor has distributed over ?52 million and supported over 1,000 community and environmental projects.Established in 2002 Viridor Credits is an independent, not-for-profit organisation charged with distributing funding provided by Viridor Waste Management in order to support environmental, conservation and community projects. This distribution scheme is now called the Landfill Communities Fund. Communities within a five to ten mile radius of Viridor managed landfill sites are entitled to apply for funds. Brighton & Hove is just within 10 miles of two sites, one at Small Dole & the other at Beddingham. Applications can be made for projects that fall into one of three categories: ? To provide or maintain a public amenity, ? To conserve or promote the conservation of a natural habitat or species, ?
