South East Innovation & Growth Teams
The scheme aims to support sub-regional partnerships by providing grant funding to establish local Innovation and Growth Teams. These Teams will create communities of innovation and growth, delivering specialist services to businesses that have potential for significant growth and ultimately generate substantial local and regional economic benefits that improve the global competitiveness of the South East.SEEDA is inviting partners to collaborate at a sub-regional level, working across administrative boundaries to develop a platform for supporting high growth businesses at a local level but within a regional framework. Partnerships should have a shared purpose, underlined by a charter, constitution or similar formal agreement, to develop, manage and deliver the Team activities for the benefit of the local high growth business community.
Proposals for grant funding can be of the value of ?500,000 to ?1 million per annum over a three year period. Only exceptional projects will receive the maximum level of funding
Project costs that are eligible for funding must be directly related to the delivery of activities under this grant funding, and include the following:
Staff costs. Staff related costs. Direct costs of delivery to clients. Overheads.
Applications for the second phase will be invited in early 2009, in the following areas:
Oxfordshire. Kent & Medway.
East Surrey & West Sussex.
East Sussex & Brighton and Hove.
