Money Saving Expert - New Grants Available

The Money Saving Expert Charity aims to fight financial and consumer illiteracy and break the cycle of debt. Grants are available both for individuals seeking to educate themselves and for groups/charities looking to develop projects.Individual Grant Grants of up to ?500 are available to UK individuals over the age of 18 to help pay towards a recognised and approved course that will help improve the applicant?s ability to budget and manage their finances. The grant can be used to pay for course fees or other necessary expenses. Organisational Grant Not-for-profit constituted organisations in the UK can apply for grants of up to ?5,000 for projects that aim to educate people about money, debt, and/or consumer issues. The deadline for receipt of applications for an individual grant is 12 September 2008. Applications for organisational grants can be made at any time.
