Launch of the Enterprising Young Brits Awards.Young people in the UK that have grown their own idea, exploited an opportunity or developed a new way of doing things are invited to enter this annual award scheme. Applicants must be UK residents and under the age of 30 at the time of submission.There are five categories of award which are as follows: Business Entrepreneur. Social and Community. Creative. Teen (for individuals between the ages of 13 and 19). High Growth Business. Five finalists from each category are invited to attend the final, and awards ceremony, during Enterprise Week (12-18 November 2007) in London. The winner of each category receives ?1,000, a trophy and certificate, and previous finalists have benefited from widespread publicity. The closing date for receipt of applications is 22 October 2007.
