Funding for buildings to go green
Funding for buildings to go green
Community Sustainable Energy Programme (CSEP) is being delivered by Building Research Establishment (BRE) on behalf of Big Lottery Fund and is one of five environmental programmes that form part of the Changing Spaces programme.
We want to draw your attention to the Project Development grants that are available under this programme - community organisations can apply for grants of up to ?5,000 or 75 per cent (whichever is lower) of the cost of a feasibility study to find out if a microgeneration technology (eg solar panels, wind turbine) and energy efficiency installation will work for them. These grants are available on a first come first serve basis until the ?1 million pot is spent. For more information about CSEP visit www.communitysustainable.org.uk.
Another programme that has similar criteria and that can be used as match funding for the capital grants available under CSEP is the Low Carbon Buildings Programme phase 2. The Department for Business (BERR) and BRE are hosting several events across the country to promote this programme - see the attached flyer for more details and how to book your place (the nearest event for most people in the South East is in London on 30 June).
